Rant Post #1: Vic vs. Vee

Okay, we all have to rant and rave and fill up some space at some point in our lives, so I decided it was time that this blog had a space filler up-er. And okay, yes, Evans did start berating me for not posting, but that is entirely beside the point. Here we go, off on the wonderful rant roller coaster!
Lately, people have been insisting on calling me Vic! I mean, really! It just sounds so... crude! It sounds like... Vicar, or... huh. Some sort of alcoholic beverage! Or, worse yet, Nick, which sounds like Nicky, which reminds me of someone I dislike, who I shan't go talking about in the internet in case they find me. But really! It is absolutely awful! If you INSIST upon shortening Victoire, say Vee please! Or V even. Like darling Evans has learned (I can't seem to recall if I threatened her or not...). So take a leaf from Evans, or Jenna Wood, or her friend Kras (Yes, I am talking about random people who I may or may not have not met in real life) and call me Vee!
Moral of the story: If you call me Vic, you will soon have an unsuspected house call by the Dark Lord.

That's all! I really do still love all of you faithful readers though. Well, we don't have any faithful readers but WE WILL! Someday!

Luv,
Vee

Vee and Luna are on here but not Me
(click photo to enlarge)

When I was looking at JKRs site for links (www.potterish.com is another good one but you will need google translate) i found a family tree. if you want to know exactly how you are related to a Weasley this is the place to go.

Ps. Sorry if the link didn't work. Bloggers recent problems are still being sorted out so things are a little funny still. Also, this link can only take you to the site. JKRs site isnt exactly link friendly

Blogs you should be reading

I don’t have time to write anything interesting myself (I’m studying for my end of year exams and if I don’t pass I wont be able to go to Hogwarts next year) so I thought I’d just post a few websites that you can read instead. Most are HP related or my reason for posting it is.
This one is a bit obvious but the Leaky Cauldron is very reliable and anyone who hasn’t been on it before needs to get on ASAP!
This website isn’t related to Harry Potter but the page on the site that I linked to is. The site is Oshkosh Museum’s website and the page is for their month long celebration of all things Potter!
This one is also non-HP (it is a writing site) but there is quite and HP community. I’m on Figment as Lily Evans Potter and many of my friends and foes are on there too. Also, it has some of the best HP fanfiction I have ever read (Those Green Eyes by Summer Sellers is my favorite, and NOT because it is about me! It is actually quite inaccurate ((I’ve never played truth or dare with James)) but very well written)
A Very short “prequel” to the HP series. JKR wrote it for fun after hearing that people suspected her of planning to write a prequel to the series. I think it is pretty good and wish I could read more.
Another news source for the HP world. I’m subscribed to quite a few though I’m not posting all of them today
If you don’t mind reading in spanish (I think thats what it is but google translate translates it into English for me so I’m not sure) this site is a good one
This site collects HP news from around the web and posts it on one site. The links to the sites they get it from are there so you can always read more
Hope you like the sites!

New Ideas

I hope you like that one... It seems to be made out of seaweed and mermaid's hair, with rice inside. Dipped of course in oil from the Bubotuber garden we have (it's pus is usually used as an acne sure, so these foods will be very good for young teens with horrible acne problems. You should look into it, Vee. JK!), so I hope it looks good!!!

This is an amazing loaf of bread that I think we should try, though with a few differences. First off, I think we should try using gnome saliva instead of milk, to give it gook luck, and also, with all the wheat that needs to be included, this loaf often yells too much. So I was thinking if we put a quieting charm on the dough before we bake, it would have better affects. Think about it!!!

I think today is a day worth mentioning. I know this is a cooking blog and this may seem off topic, but its not. Daddy sold the most Quibbler copies in the history of the Quibbler! There was an article that was written by Albus Dumbledore, which made everyone hop up to buy the Quibbler. I was so happy, and so was Daddy, that he let me have the kitchen to myself for 2 hours, and he promised he would not complain about the smells. Daddy knows that awful smells actually clear your head, but he also knows that sometimes they are un-bearable. Anyway, I used my time well, and I am almost done with my Xeno cake. (that's what I'm naming it).

Luna

We have a new member coming to our blog! She will be a co-authoress, and her name is Luna! So far, we aren't positive on details, but we hope she will post frequently. That makes me (Victoire) the only V name! I am hoping that throughout our blogging, we slowly bring in more people, until we have a whole slew of authors. I am going to make this post short and sweet, because it is late and I need to clean some pans from my cooking (My house elf has abandoned me!). About the cooking, the pierogies (little polish dumpling thingies) were delicious. Here's the recipe:
Package of \potato and onion pierogies (I got mine from Whole Foods)
1 Onion (optional)
Olive Oil
Goat cheese or sour cream (optional)
Frying pan (big!)

Follow directions on package to boil pierogies. When they are done boiling, drain them and let dry. If you are using the onion, chop it up and put it in the frying pan you are planning to use for the pierogies, along with enough olive oil to cover the bottom of the pan, plus some extra, and fry until browned (like, normal browned onion thing). Take out of pan and put into small bowl (well, one that will contain it). Now put the pierogies in the same pan. Even if you aren't using onion, I suggest throwing in a few pieces. Add some more olive oil (the same basic amount I said to use for the onion). Heat up the oil. Throw in the pierogies (Be careful! Sometimes the oil will get bubbly!) Fry each pierogi so that each side is slightly crisp (a little browned is PERFECT! That nice, golden-y color!) If you are using goat cheese and/or sour cream, put each in a small bowl. When the pierogies are done, put them on a plate and serve. I like mine with goat cheese spread on the top and some of those delish onions! NOM NOM NOM!!!!!

Au Revoir! Victoire OUT!!!

p.s. Victoire has become a death eater, so her posts may seem a bit psycho. Also, she would like you to know that she now sees the bright side of being a sadistic, psychopath witch with prodigious skills and no conscience. Family members can be annoying.
